Getting to Alcalá de Henares!!!!

The day began very well. The kids all got up and ate breakfast, anxious to get started. At around 7:15 a.m. the BYU shuttle came to our home and loaded us up. The driver had to be a little creative to get all of our luggage in the van, but it did fit!! We made very good time to the airport and when we got inside we found the line to be very long. Fortunately the line to check in luggage moved along very quickly. Of course it did until we got the desk.  It took the check-in lady about 20 minutes to get our tickets printed, our luggage tagged and us on our way. After leaving the check-in we headed to security. Yet another line!!! This one extended almost all the way down the hall to the leveled parking entrance. Again the line moved along quickly and within one half hour we were heading for the gate. Once we got there we settled in to wait. What a wonderful world it is to have handheld gaming systems (ha, ha, ha!!!). Soon we were on our way to Atlanta. The flight went well.  The best flight was from Atlanta to Madrid. Though it was a long haul across the Atlantic, we were fortunate to have the personal entertainment systems so that each person could watch the movie or show that they liked best. When it came time to sleep, they all went out and slept well. Once we arrived in Madrid we found ourselves without transportation. I called Miriam at Alcalingua who assured me that there was a bus there. I soon found it (where I never would have looked!) and we were on our way.  We are now in Alcalá and enjoying the chalet.
