Merry Christmas 2010

Merry Christmas from the Shermans
It has been a busy year as usual.

Seth (soon to turn 7) decided to take up piano and is doing great. He has already won a trophy for a duet competition that he entered with his duet buddy Mikey who is even younger than Seth.

Here they are with their duet at a recital that day

Jeremy (17) and Nathan (15) won the opportunity to play a violin/viola concerto with their high school orchestra this spring. It was pretty impressive when you consider that Nathan broke his hand only 5 weeks earlier and had to play the audition only 5 days out of a cast. Here they are imagining their promotional posters they would make if they were going on tour.

We had lots of out door activities including hiking to Emerald Lake as a family. Here is Caleb (9) the amazing hiker, soccer player and violinist.

Ethan discovered that he enjoys singing and acting. He had roles in two of his junior high school productions this year. Here he is as the Mad Hatter. Ethan is still playing the viola and is also the Student Body Secretary.

Just in case you are wondering how he looks without his makeup.. Here he is with Nathan, Lizzy and Caleb. they are all dressed up to play in the big Suzuki Celebration concert that was held in the Conference Center in Salt Lake. It had about 800 young musicians participating. Not to be left out of the "drama", Lizzy had the lead role in her 6th grade Greek play. She is also a member of the BYU Young Dance Makers and continues to progress on her cello. If you think it's hard to keep up with these kids, just try to keep up with Mom and Dad. After a total weight loss of about 100 pounds, Lin's energy knows no bounds. Here we are finishing the ULCER. This is 111 mile cycling event that circles Utah Lake. We did it together and finished in just under 7 hours. Here we are finishing Lin's first half marathon together. In October we repeated our half marathon efforts and ran the Provo Halloween half Marathon.

From all of us, we hope that you have a wonderful new year.
